The Rescue
Hey everybody!
We are a little less than a month away from this year's big event in Atlanta, called The Rescue (of Joseph Kony's Child Soldiers). The national roadies were here this week to do a screening of the new documentary, and if you missed it, you can view it (and sign up for the event) at the IC website.
And don't forget, we have elections on Tuesday and Laughrica on Wednesday.
Shalom,
Drew

Dustin Hoffman Has Nothing on Them
...if you get the Marathon Man reference, I'll love you forever.
If not, you're still pretty cool, I guess.
Anyway, on to the reason I'm posting.
A group of ordinary people (turned runners) is trying to run seven marathons on seven continents in seven days. More than that, actually, as they will be running 30-mile "ultra-marathons", not the customary 26.2 miles.
Why?
To raise money for charities, including Isaac's House, an organization dedicated to helping the children of Uganda.
Keep up with the runners at their website -- they are currently on day three, and in LA, as of posting.

Drew

The Lives of Former Child Soldiers
The Associated Press recently ran a story following the lives of child soldiers after they are taken out of combat, shedding new light on the problems they face in their quest to return to normalcy.
